Tana River County Water Infrastructure

Tana River County, Kenya

Client

Tana River County Government

⚠️The Challenge

Tana River County needed reliable water supply for Hola town and surrounding villages. Existing infrastructure was outdated and could not meet growing demand of 30,000+ residents.

Our Solution

Drilled 5 high-capacity boreholes (200-280m depth), installed diesel and solar hybrid pumping systems, constructed 500,000-liter elevated storage tank, and installed 15km of distribution pipeline to serve town and 8 villages.

📊Results & Impact

  • 30,000+ residents now have piped water access
  • Water rationing eliminated in Hola town
  • Household water costs reduced by 50%
  • Hybrid system ensures 24/7 supply even during power outages
  • Revenue to county increased by 200% through improved distribution
